Looking for Information on Martin Metcalf he was a harness maker in Lewistown in the 1850's to about 1880's. Wondering if there was anyway of finding information on his business. I have located him in the 1880 census with family. Also have copies of all court records. I think I've exhausted all leads that I am aware of. Is there any Lewistown directory that may be available? The name doesn't ring any bells for me but I have a few options for you to try in finding info. There is a lady in Lewistown, her name is Donna Davis, intelligent woman on history in Lewistown i believe, write to her and ask yr questions.........her address is 503 North Main Lewistown 61542.........I don't think she has moved. Try this and I will look into it. There is the old blacksmith shop in Lewistown still.......Rasmussen Blacksmith Shop. a small as it were in the day shop open to the public but not sure when. It's run by volunteers. Also there is a website for the town of Lewistown........I will find it again and post it for you. At the moment it's all i can think up.........lol
