My gg-grandmother Margaret Moore Fiddler Ray was first Married to John Fiddler (12 Sept 1850) in Fulton County. They had 4 children: Alvin, William, David & Minnesota. She is listed in Banner (Utica) in the 1860 census with the 4 children and Catherine Moore age 60 (I assume her Mother). John died?? She married my gg-grandfather Luman Ray (10 Jan 1862). They had one child John Alexander (b 1862). In 1850 Margaret (26), Catherine (50) and Mary Ann (22) are living in the household of Davis(35) and Eliza (30) Fergerson. All report birthlace as Pennsylvania.
She died before 1867 as he married Polly Ann Hughes 18 Jun 1867. My questions is Where are John Fiddler and Margaret Moore Fiddler Ray burried (Walnut Cemetery?) Who took the now 5 children to raise? (Not found in the 1870 census. ) Some of the Fiddler children were old enough to be on their own.
Luman Ray married again 11 Feb. 1872 to Frankie M. A. Porter. Any info out there about her? I have infor after the marriage but not before. Think her Father was John Porter. She was suppose to be born in Fulton County but so far I have no trace.
