Looking for Catherine Dunn Payne, d. 1865

Hi, folks

I'd dearly love to find where my great-great grandmother is buried.  She was Catherine Dunn Payne and -- according to a biographical sketch of her husband, Stephen Payne, published in Chapman's 1879 history of Fulton County -- she died in 1865.  They were married in 1845 in Madison County, Ohio.

I don't know precisely where Catherine died.  However, the 1860 U.S. census shows Catherine, Stephen and eight children living in Deerfield Township.  Stephen joined the Union army and was presumably away for much of the rest of Catherine's life.  In 1880, Stephen was living on a farm in Section 5 of Lee Township.  He subsequently moved to Fillmore County, Nebraska, with a married daughter and died there in 1889.

So, my first guess is that -- if Chapman has her death date correct -- Catherine is buried in Deerfield Township.  My second guess would be Lee Township.

How would I go about finding lists of burials for these cemeteries?  Also, are there local papers accessible that might have an obituary?

I appreciate your help.
