FORD, HUFFORD, DAVIS

My great, great, great grandparents were Absalom FORD and Mary (HUFFORD) FORD.  They were married on 13 Jul 1837 in Fulton County, IL.  The last census I found them on was in 1880 in Buckheart, Fulton County.  I am trying to find when they died and where they are buried.  I have the book of Cemetery Inscriptons for Buckheart and Cass Townships but they are not named.  A number of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are buried in the Marysville-Bryant Cemetery.  I would also like to find who their parents were.  Absalom's father could possibly be one named Benjamin FORD.

Absalom and Mary's children were Elizabeth, Leah (married George CLARK in 1859), Eliza Jane (married Jacob FOUTS in 1862), Levi, Thomas, Andrew (I believe he was married to Sarah FORD), Polly, Preston (married to Mary Ann FORD in 1876), Melvina (married Aaron DAVIS in 1875-my great, great grandparents), and George (I'm fairly certain he left and ended up in North Dakota).  I have found Leah, Eliza, Andrew, and Preston on census records through 1930 and have some info on their children.

My great, great grandparents Aaron DAVIS and Melvina FORD left Fulton County after 1882 and went first to Missouri and then Oklahoma.  Their four oldest children, Josiah (not sure if that is his correct name), Amanda, Levi and Lula Pearl (my great grandmother) were born in Illinois.  I am trying to find any information I can on Aaron DAVIS.  According to census records he was born in Indiana.  Other than that I don't know where he came from, when he came to Fulton County or who his family might be.

Thanks!

Jackie

On rootsweb.com there are Ford family trees posted there, that has the name of Absolom's father being Benjamin and his mother being Mary Anderson. You might want to look at those trees.

Yes, I have seen the family trees for Benjamin Ford.  They are most likely who I am looking for.  I'm searching for information so that I'm more certain they are the right family.

Thanks Jackie
