MATHEWS, ETNIRE

Hi.  Am researching MATHEWS of Fulton County.  These are of the William MATTHEWS family formerly of Pennsylvania(?) by way of Ohio.  William married Mary HANNUM and had between 15 and 17 children.

In 1859, they had a son, Winfield Scott who married Ella ETNIRE.  Ella was the daughter of Lewis ETNIRE.

Scott and Ella left Illinois and settled in southeastern Nebraska.  My husband is their great grandchild.

Scott died in 1913 in Nebraska, but was buried in Ipava.  Some time after his death, Ella married David Hughes, also of Fulton County.  I've tracked down the children, siblings, etc., from census records and have a good record of where William, Mary and the children are located throughout the 1800's.  However, I really know nothing of them as a family.
