I am trying to locate the parents of Elizabeth Barlow, she was born in 1865 and died 15 Jan 1886. I believe her parents may have been Martin Barlow and Sarah Burnett but have been unable to find proof.  On her marriage certificate her name is Lizzie Barlow, married to David Cowden 21 Jan 1885 in Fulton Co. Her obit states she was 21, and was buried 17 Jan 1886 Walnut Cem; res Banner. I also know that she died within a couple of weeks of giving birth to my Grandmother, Jennie Cowden. Thanks to anyone that might be able to help.

 I think your Lizzie aka Elizabeth (Barlow) was the daughter of Martin and Sarah BARLOW. Did you happen to send for her complete marriage record from Fulton Co. IL. Courthouse in Lewistown? Most of those also include a marriage application which most of the time provides the names of the parents including the mother's maiden name.


I see someone also provided you with this census but here is the pg # and etc.

Also you might try posting again for Walnut Cem. Banner Il. , if she is listed in the book it might list her parents names. I don't have access to the book but there are lots of good folks on this list who would do the lookup for you.


Not sure how accurate this info is but, I did a search at www.familysearch.org  and found Elizabeth (Barlow) listed with parents Martin and Sarah(Burnett)BARLOW married David Cowden  and her death date is 15 Jan. 1886. the submitter has compac disc #126  pin #932523   Hope this helps some..
