PIERCE FAMILY

I am searching for information on the family of Martin M. & Lydia Ann Pierce.  They were both born in New York in 1827.  By 1854, they were married, had moved to Illinois, where their first three children were born.  They were George Gilbert, James A., and Warren H. Pierce.

I have found evidence where they purchased property in Fulton County from George Taylor on Nov. 26, 1859.  The legal for that property was the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of section 8, Township 7.  I have not been able to locate the family on the 1860 census, however I did locate them on the 1870 census.

Between 1859 and 1870, Gertrude, Clarence, Emmogene, and Charles were born.  After Charlese was born, the family moved to Kansas.

Can anyone tell me:

1.  Per the legal description, where is this property located?

2.  What happened to Warren H. Pierce, as he did not make the move with the rest of his family to Kansas.

3.  Does anyone know the name of Martin Pierce's parents?

Not knowing the names of Martin's parents has been a major roadblock for me for a number of years.  Any info that anyone has, would be greatly appreciated.
