KIDD PRICHARD SHELBY MANN

I am working on the families Benjamin Prichard & Nancy Kidd.  Their children were Edith, Mecia? Cornelia, Eleanor - James - Jacob - Katie - Charlotte - Lena.  Nancy Kidd is found in the 1850 census with Eleanor or Ellen who I think is her mother married to a Noah Shelby.  In 1860 she is married to a Philip Man or Mann.  I am having a hard time sorting out these families and learning who Mr. Kidd was.  Other Kidd children appear to be  Margaret and Martha.  A William Kidd was living next door but I can't figure his relationship.  I read a posting on a different web site that a William Kidd was full blooded Indian.  Thanks to anyone who may be able to help with any thing that I could use.

Sincerely  Karen

Hi Karen,
My name is Cheryl Moose
My husband's great great grandfather, Jacob Moose married Harriet Kidd.
Harriet Kidd was born Feb 21, 1840 and died April 25, 1910.
They are buried in Astoria Cemetery. They lived in Astoria in an area that is now owned by Camp Emmanuel. Is Harriet a relative of yours?

Cheryl

Thank you for your posting to my question.  This is a difficult side group to my relative Benjamin Prichard son of Jordan Prichard and Artimsia Shaw.  It's a line I have not spent much time on and I would like to know more about. If you would like to share information I would surely be pleased to do so.  Benjamin's sister was my GG grandmother.  Let me know if you can help.  Thanks    Karen

Karen; are you aware of the tragic death of Jordan Pritchard and Artemesia Shaw (some of the children also died) in a Cholera epidemic in 1849?  There is an excellect item on this cholera trajedy, in one of the Fulton County history.  Artemesia is a sister to my Robert Shaw.  I have quite a bit of data on the Shaw family.  [ I have been very ill due to a Autoimmune hepatitis- and have just been started on Prednisone- so my answers may be a little late] Betty Bower

Thank you so much for your posting.  Yes I have the story of the Cholera epidemic involving so much of my family.  I would love to have more information on the Shaw's!  It's a line I do not know much about.  I would also be pleased to share what I have with you on the other related family lines.  I am recovering from a knee joint replacement and understand not feeling well.  I hope you are better soon.  Please email me when you can.  Sincerely  Karen

Karen - I have a question - are you familiar with the name Otis Black?? He has always been a mystery to me since I found a photo labeled - "cousin - Otis Black". This is on our Shelby family, and I just noticed that one of the Pritchard's married a Black?? I'm hoping that is the connection!!

Thanks,
Terri

Sorry, I can not help. I checked my Family Tree Maker files and no Otis Black is shown. I appreciate your email as a person never knows where a little fact may pop up. Sincerely Karen Jennings Morlan
