My third great grandfather John Lewis EDMONSON (EDMISTON) moved to Fulton County, Illinois in the late 1830's. He died there in 1847. John's son William Alexander EDMONSON (EDMISTON) and his wife Mary Jane BECKETT EDMONSON (EDMISTON) lived in the Fulton County area, as Mary Jane died in 1849, and is buried in the Ellisville Cemetery. William Alexander died in 1859. He is also buried in Fulton County. All of their children stayed in the Fulton, Knox Counties area. My great grandmother was the only one of their children to leave the area. I am searching for more information on John Lewis and William Alexander EDMONSON (EDMISTON). Did they own property, did they leave wills? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
