Asquiths - miners of l880

George - Jane (Dixon) Asquith  (sister) Mrs. Amos Inman   l880 Census shows    Asquiths

residing with Isacc Inman's family.  An unbelievable 20 residents resided with him.

My grandfather Lloyd "Jocko" Asquith is who I am searching information regarding his

marriages, divorces, high school, ball team.  I have an article from the "Centernial"

regarding the ball team of the l890 - l900 where he was mentioned.  Also, Dick Asquith

for the football team.   Any help with pictures of this person or family would be greatly

welcomed.   Some descendants, who married Asquith's - Heller - Weigert - Cluts - Cook

- Pusey - Sappington - Swanson - McFarland    Thanks for any help.   Judi Asquith Shepherd

My grandfather was a miner iin Canton. According to my Mother one of his jobs was to set the charges on Sunday so the air would be clear in the morning. I believe g-grandfather would have been a miner also.  He came to the USA around 1870 and married in Fulton County where he settled and raised a family. I know that g=g'pa had some brothers who came from Sweden also. Can you be a little more specific about your Swanson connection.

Yes.   Leon Asquith son of George and Jane (dixon) Asquith married Leatha Fleming and

their children were Gayle Swanson, Thelma Sappington and Richard Asquith.   Mrs Gayle

Swanson was listed as Long Beach, Ca. in the l965 obit. of Leatha.
