I am looking for any information about John Coffey and Margaret Dougherty Coffey...They were married in the adjoining county of McDonough but Margaret appeared on an early census in Fulton County....I suspect that they may be buried in the area....What cemeteries would Catholics in the early 1900s use?
Your Catholic relatives could be buried in the St. Augustine cemetery. I think that the church was actually moved several miles into Knox county. But it was really a major burial place for Catholics. Also I think that there may be a St. Mary's cemetery in or near Canton. On the Knox county website there is a listing of all the burials at that church.Good luck with your search. If I think of any more ideas I will write you
