Lyman Tracy was born 1797 in Chenango County, NY, moved to Fulton County as a young man and married Anna Carlock on 1/16/1825.  They had 8 children, one of them being my ancestor Arminda Sidella Tracy. (I have info on the other children if anyone is interested.) He moved from Fulton Co. to Jasper, MO where he lived and had many of his children and then came back to Illinois and settled in Schuyler Co. where he passed away in 1881.  It is a legend that he drowned in the Illinois River, but this is unsubstantiated.  My problem is that no one seems to be able to trace his parents.  Does anyone have any information that could help me out?
