I am looking for info on Benjamin Scovel who married Temperance(?)Spencer(?). They were early settlers to the  county. Their son Ira Scovel was my Gt Gt Gt Gt Grandfather.

Benjamin Scovel,I do know,came from New York with sons. He died around 1836 and suppossenly buried in Fulton County,Illinois but where. The Scovels/Mays owned acres in Sec 29 and 30 in Lewistown township. Is it possible he may be buried on the old May/Scovel farmlands. I seen somewhere that there was a Scovel Cemetery/Burials in Lewistown township....location unknown. Can anyone confirm this or know anything about Benjamin.
