Richard Oglesby owned a farm plot in Buckheart, Fulton in 1880 - the plot can be seen on the Buckheart map. Richard first appears in the 1860 census in Putnam, Fulton with Ann - assumed to be his wife. He is there again in 1870 but this time in Buckheart. Richard was born in England and must have emigrated some time before 1860.
In the 1880 census Richard is 73, Ann is no longer with him but a family of Havercrofts is living with him. I am researching these Havercrofts. I believe Richard is a brother in law from Lincolnshire, England. Please does anyone know of any Oglesby descendants from Richard (and Ann).
